About Julie
Trained journalist Julie Penfold has over eight years experience of writing versatile, engaging copy for a wide range of subjects and audiences. Julie's work is published both nationally and regionally from consumer magazines, lifestyle publications and online health and beauty sites to leading trade publications and B2B titles.
Julie has many professional journalistic qualifications including a Postgraduate Diploma in Periodical Journalism awarded at Distinction level, accredited by both the NCTJ and PTC. Additionally she holds a BA (Hons) Media Studies 2:1 degree qualification and a Teeline Shorthand qualification which she is particularly proud of as it was hard work learning to write in squiggles.
Julie absolutely loves what she does, and still continues to dance a merry little jig around the office everytime she receives a new commission or hears some lovely feedback from another satisfied client. To sum Julie up in three words: Creative, passionate and giddy (from time-to-time).
Little known facts about Julie: she has an allergy to nuts and wool, suffers from asthma and IBS, is left-handed, vegetarian, loves horror films plus soap operas and has a crisp addiction which she tries to keep in check as much as possible.
